First refugee arrived!!

“Alexander”‘s suitcases

Imagine all your possessions stuffed into a few suitcases. That’s the reality for “Alexander” who landed at the refugee house mid-May. We’re so thankful that so many of you have prayed, donated and offered to help so that refugee believers can have a safe house in Canada!

Some ongoing needs and ways you can help:

  1. Give towards mortgage: we have a 25 year mortgage at $500,000 ($3000/month)
  2. Buy items on Amazon: We’re adding to the Amazon wish list almost every day. For example, a stove-plug-auto-shutoffis an excellent idea for those new to Canadian cooking. Find it and other items on the list below.  Any items purchased from the list will be delivered to the house. Check back from time to time at: https://www.amazon.ca/hz/wishlist/ls/3DGY7FTTJM1WK?ref_=wl_share
  3. Donate good condition used household items as refugees do not have their own beds, lamps, rugs, appliances etc. Email pictures to us at: office@jesusnetwork.ca
  4. Help with projects: list posted on website, but for now here are a few:
    • Washer/dryer install upstairs project ($10,000)
    • Fence Gate installation project (completed! Thank you to friends from Peoples Church and Youth Unlimited)
    • Basement kitchen project ($7000)
    • Ring doorbell and rear floodlight installation project ($2000)
    • Front screen door project (broken front door) ($1000+)
