- August 2021 – The Taliban takeover of Afghanistan
- Spring 2022 – Refugees begin arriving in Canada in large numbers. The Afghan church grows, but when these dear believers arrive we immediately have a new problem – housing! Where would the refugees live as they transitioned to life in Canada?
- Fall 2022 – Refugee House project is born. Lots of prayer, discussion and a generous donation provides a triple-match opportunity as we trust God for funds! New webpage with more details: jesusnetwork.ca/refugeehouse
- September 2024 – God provides enough funding to put an offer on a house. Sadly we are outbid
- Winter 2025 – Interest rates and house prices drop. More homes now in our price range. The Lord leads us to a 4 bedroom house with basement walk out apartment. Could this be the house Lord?? More prayer, more discussion.
- March 2025 – We submit an offer on the house, over $80,000 under asking. It is rejected, but counter offer is in the range of possibility. Guide us Lord! We drop a condition and raise the price a little – the seller agrees and we are SOLD well below asking! Wow Lord, this is happening. Closing date is March 28th so…

Currently we are at 82% of the funds for the triple-match so any donation given before March 28th will go towards the down payment! We are overwhelmed with the Lords goodness!
