Data and privacy

The Jesus Network collects personal information via the Internet through two avenues: MailChimp email sign up form and CanadaHelps donation form. MailChimp and CanadaHelps each have their own privacy policies in addition to our own practices.

The Jesus Network also collects personal information via paper donation form.

How your data will be used

Data submitted via MailChimp

Your email address will be used to send you email newsletters, typically on a monthly basis, with updates from the Jesus Network's ministry activity, prayer requests, volunteer opportunities, and giving opportunities.

Your name, address, and home church will be cross-referenced against our existing donor database in order to verify whether you are already in the database. If you are, your email address will be added (or updated) to your existing information in the donor database. If you are not in the donor database, your information will not be added to the donor database. If, after signing up for emails, you become a donor, your email address may be added to your donor profile at that later time.

Jesus Network does not send tax receipts by email.

Data submitted via CanadaHelps

CanadaHelps collects your name, address, and email address for the purpose of issuing a tax-receipt. If you choose to not remain anonymous, CanadaHelps will share your information with the Jesus Network.

If you choose to share this information with the Jesus Network, we will use the collected data to send you with updates from the Jesus Network's ministry activity, prayer requests, volunteer opportunities, and giving opportunities. Depending on your selected choice, the newsletter may be sent by physical mail or by email.

Donations made through CanadaHelps are receipted by CanadaHelps.

Data submitted via paper donation form

Your name and address are collected for the purpose of issuing a tax receipt.

If you choose to donate through pre-authorized payments, your banking information is collected for the purpose of processing the payments from your bank account.

If you choose to opt-in to receive them, the Jesus Network will use the collected data to send you newsletters with updates from the Jesus Network's ministry activity, prayer requests, volunteer opportunities, and giving opportunities. Depending on your selected choice, the newsletter will be sent by physical mail or by email.
